In Full Bloom: Babae Po Ako

            My childhood dream was to become a teacher.

            My secret childhood desire was to be a boy.

Epilogue:  

            I no longer want to become a teacher. But I still want to teach. As of the moment, I am still confused. I do not really know what I want to be in the future. Sometimes I want to be a broadcast journalist. Sometimes I just want to shut up, eat, drink, and sleep. There are times I wish to be at the top to get a full view of whatever is going down there. At other times I would rather be down here, living simply, oblivious to what is happening around.   

There is only one thing I am sure of: I want to be happy. More importantly, I want to see other people happy (partly because of me, as my name suggests).

            I am not a girl, not yet a woman. Whatever phase in my life I am in right now, I proudly tell the world that I am female (though not feminine).  

            My secret childhood desire of becoming a boy (which I knew would never come true) eventually faded away. I had so many realizations and they made me thankful for being what I am. I became female for a purpose. I am female with a purpose: prove other people, who think that we are inferior and weak beings, wrong. If they can, we can. Much better.
